چکیده

Diffuse pulmonary ossification (DPO) is a rare condition of DLD (diffuse lung disease) characterized by the presence metaplastic ectopic bone in lungs and less frequent patients without clear background diseases. DPO very small calcific nodules, often with mature located both peripheral areas lungs. Two patterns have been recognized dendriform nodular. The type common coral-like network spiculae along alveolar septa related to interstitial fibrosis or chronic obstructive disease [1].Recent literature papers indicate that may be predictor fibrosis, Usual Interstitial Pneumonia (UIP) pattern, has higher correlation Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).We present case 41-years-old male persistent bronchitis who underwent chest X-ray (CXR) showed multiple calcified nodules These findings were then defined high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) spread "tree-like pattern". A biopsy was performed confirm radiological diagnostic hypothesis DPO, further pathological examination multifocal tissue within parenchyma.
